Andrea Riccardo Genazzani, MD, PhD

Chairman

Born in Florence in 1942, he attained his MD from Siena University in 1966 cum laude, Postgraduate School of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Siena in 1969,Postgraduate School of Endocrinology, University of Florence in 1971.

In 1972, he received the PhD from the Division de Biochimie Clinique, Clinique Médicale at Lausanne University. In 1973, he was promoted Associate Professor and in 1975, Full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1980, he was nominated Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cagliari, and in 1982 he moved to Modena where he directed the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology until 1993. In 1994, he was elected Director of the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pisa.

Prof. Genazzani is:

- President of the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology since 1988

- President of the European Society of Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation since 1993

- President of the International Menopause Society since 1999

- Chairman of the Scientific Committee European Association of Gynecology and Obstetrics 1993-1995.

- Advisory Board member of the International Society

Prenatal and Perinatal Psichology and Medicine since 1989.

- Executive Committee member of the International Society of Menopause from 1984 to 1988, and from 1994.to 1999

- Executive Committee member of the European Menopause and Andropause Society since 1994.
